The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch Communications in Framingham, MA, you will have a fixed‑shift commitment (anchor shift) at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts through the Claim‑A‑Shift program, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and prioritize service requests, and coordinate the deployment of personnel to support retail and mall locations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and dispatch records; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Requirements

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
