Security Guard

About the role

A Security Guard contributes to AHF by protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties. In this role, you will implement strategies to protect personnel and assets—such as inventory of donations—at Healthy Housing tenant facilities in downtown Los Angeles and other AHF locations. You will oversee the in-house Security Guards Team, enforce policies and procedures, and respond to potentially dangerous situations in the safest and most effective manner. As a passionate advocate for AHF’s top initiatives, you will uphold the organization’s Core Values and Mission in all duties.

AHF operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. You will work closely with the Healthy Housing operational team to maintain a safe and secure environment and use the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports on events occurring during your shift.

Responsibilities

• Protect AHF’s assets, including inventory of donations, at Healthy Housing facilities and other AHF locations.
• Ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee the in-house Security Guards Team.
• Identify and respond to potentially dangerous situations in a safe and effective manner.
• Maintain AHF’s Core Values and Mission in all actions.
• Collaborate with Healthy Housing operational staff to ensure a secure environment.
• Submit detailed incident reports using the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System.
• Adapt to various situations with flexibility and professionalism.
