As a Security Guard Armed Perimeter Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and report security-related concerns through established communication channels.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
