Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a media and communications location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout offices, production areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with screening visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted work areas and sensitive equipment locations.
• Support site operations by observing for security-related risks involving employees, guests, broadcast assets, and/or technology infrastructure, and by preparing clear incident reports at the end of shifts and/or after notable events.

Requirements

• Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
