Responsibilities
As an Armed Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.
- Maintain a professional armed presence while complying with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
