About the role
As an Armed Security Officer with Patrol Driver Certification in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns professionally. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security-related concerns, reporting observations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
