Security Guard Access Control Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a financial institution location in Boston, MA, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Using strong communication and teamwork, you will respond to security-related concerns with integrity while contributing to a welcoming, professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and other stakeholders at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, patrol findings, and response actions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience.
Pay
$22.05 / hour
