Security Guard Access Control Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observed activity according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational concerns, and report security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and/or addressing customer concerns while maintaining awareness of the location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

$19.48 / Hour

Schedule

DayTime: Tue 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Thur 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
