Security Flex Officer - Shelter

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Schedule

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, with the flexibility to pick-up additional shifts.

This role requires a six (6) month commitment to a fixed-shift, with the option to earn more by picking-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.
