Security & Fire Alarm Install Technician

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission new security and fire alarm systems in residential and commercial environments.
• Install and configure electronic security systems including intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and network-based intercom systems.
• Run and terminate low-voltage wiring.
• Install devices including keypads, cameras, sensors, panels, and access control hardware.
• Program and configure systems for proper functionality.
• Perform system testing and commissioning.
• Educate customers on system operation and features.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of low-voltage installation experience preferred (trainees considered).
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Experience installing security, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, or intercom systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and wiring.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally within the Fishkill region.

• Ability to lift equipment and tools as needed.
