About the role

Ensuring guest safety is at the core of this role. You'll interact proactively to remove hazards, prevent and resolve altercations, lead evacuations, check IDs, enforce policies, and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include setting up before shifts, ensuring the venue is clear and safe, and communicating effectively using various methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and hazard removal
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
• Lead guests and employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
• Check identification of guests under 30 years old drinking alcohol
• Inspect guests for weapons or harmful items using metal detectors or pat-down searches
• Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
• Safeguard against theft and property damage
• Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights
• Remain in constant contact throughout the shift
• Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
• Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles before, during, and after the shift

Requirements

• Ability to work late hours
• Flexible schedule
• 3 years' work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms

Preferred

• Bi-lingual
• Cash handling experience
• Experience recognizing valid ID's
• Experience in a live music environment
• Self-defense training
• Experience using metal detection equipment
• EMT or other medical background

Physical Demands/Working Environment

The working environment is fast-paced, often loud, and stressful. Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet are required. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
