Security Event Staff - Kansas Speedway
About the role
Kansas Speedway, established in 2001, is situated in Kansas City, Kansas. The venue offers convenient highway access, along with nearby attractions like the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, restaurants, and shopping. Kansas Speedway hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series. Additionally, it features over 200 event days annually.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible security presence to guests and manage entry through various gates during event times.
- Screen all persons entering ticketed and secure areas for valid credentials and tickets.
- Aid guests with inquiries regarding directions, facility information, parking, and assistance for those with disabilities.
- Assist with moving equipment, setting up signs, barricades, and fencing as needed to support event operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Kansas Speedway properties
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (over 8 hours)
- Positive attitude
- Valid Driver’s License
Shifts and Hours
This position is seasonal and applicants must be available to work the NASCAR racing events scheduled for April 16th-19th and September 24th-27th. Shifts and hours will vary based on event needs.
