About the role

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented, and talented individual for the position of Security Escort. The Escort is primarily responsible for performing protective service and escort work, including escorting uncleared individuals into designated buildings and property, controlling access to installations by employees and visitors, and ensuring that escorted individuals adhere to facility rules and remain in authorized areas. The Escort will maintain positive control of all approved but uncleared individuals from identity verification upon arrival through escort within the facility and appropriate exit. This role does not involve law enforcement powers; any violations of U.S. Government rules and regulations will be reported immediately to on-site Federal law enforcement authority. A majority of work is performed indoors within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, update, track, and close incident/support requests
• Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform assigned duties in a safe manner
• Arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform and carrying issued equipment
• Carry out general and special orders for assigned post
• Communicate via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders
• Interact and escort as required with public and government personnel
• Maintain cleanliness of uniform and assigned equipment
• Meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the general public
• Maintain poise and self-control under stress
• Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English
• Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English
• Work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays and be on call

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• U.S. Citizenship
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Prior military, civilian, or security guard experience preferred (Honorable Discharge if applicable)
• Successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances for the site

Schedule

Full-time temporary candidates must be available to work any shift between the hours of 5:00 PM and 2:00 AM, any day of the week.

Skills

• Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language
• Ability to apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material

Physical Requirements

This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication
