About the role
Support the planning, design, and implementation of physical security for modern facilities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary MEP teams to deliver coordinated, constructible solutions that align with client needs, regulatory requirements, and evolving building technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electronic systems, engineering documents, technical reports, specifications, and construction packages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, technology, and project management professionals to deliver integrated building solutions.
- Support project execution by monitoring progress, identifying risks, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Develop practical, code-compliant, and client-focused designs that balance performance, maintainability, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews, provide quality assurance oversight, and mentor junior engineering staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 3 years of discipline-specific engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or other related industry certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing low-voltage, communications, technology, security, controls, or electronic building systems.
- Proficiency with engineering design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with three or more of the following system types: access control, video surveillance, communications networks, telecommunications, structured cabling, life safety technologies, PLC-based systems, intercoms, public address systems, or other electronic infrastructure.
- Understanding of industry standards, quality management practices, applicable codes, and engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.

Pay
Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
