About the role

As a Security Officer Front Desk Driver in Portland, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions. In this front‑desk security position at a financial institution, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping maintain a professional, secure environment and supporting daily operations. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at the front desk while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access to the facility and direct guests, deliveries, and contractors to appropriate areas while helping deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor front desk communications, receive calls and inquiries, and promptly report security‑related concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located (required for driving positions).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control/badge experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and, where permitted, a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.
