Security Door Staff (Sam Adams Downtown Taproom)
What You'll Brew
Welcome every guest in a warm and inclusive manner, while serving as an enthusiastic first and last impression of the brewery to all guests
Work with management to identify and address potential safety risks throughout the brewery
Become familiarized with all policies for guests and ensure that we are in compliance within the terms of our C.U.P and local laws at all times
Ensure that no intoxicated persons or un-accompanied minors enter the premises
Maintain cleanliness and order along the street, including sweeping as needed, and directing vendors and performers to their proper locations
Remove any guest who is being disruptive and/or exhibiting clear signs of being visibly intoxicated, all while using good judgment, clear communication, and professionalism throughout
Track the number of guests entering and exiting the location as needed and implement an orderly door wait once capacity is reached
Greet any guests with reservations, special events and/or picking up keg(s), before then notifying the Manager on duty about their arrival
Follow all steps of procedure as outlined in the security plan
Working Conditions
Manage the ever-changing environment with customers arriving and leaving
Ability to recognize and manage conflict
Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays
Bar atmosphere, loud, warehouse conditions
Ingredients You'll Bring
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
CPR/First Aid Certified desired
Active Guard Card Certification (within 6 months of start date – California only)
Previous security/door staff experience desired - Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
While performing the duties of this role, it may be required to climb flights of stairs, work from heights or on elevated platforms
Agile enough to step over, crouch or crawl under
Established dexterity to: Handle materials
Operate equipment
Interface with computer systems with precision
Able to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time. Be able to move 160lbs

Pay
The pay rate for this role if hired is $21.50 per hour. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
