About the role

Responsibilities
- Design integrated electronic security systems
- Calculate electrical power loads, determine UPS requirements, and design system-related single line diagrams
- Take responsibility for a complete set of construction documents
- Understand that assignments have objectives requiring investigation of many variables
- Independently perform security system/electrical engineering assignments with broad general instruction from the Project Manager as to the results expected
- Write specifications covering all security system matters; perform reviews and work directly with owners as part of the project team
- Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators, or Technicians as needed, and be responsible for work in all phases of the security design process
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in security design
- Familiarity with Autodesk
- RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) and Electrical Engineering degree helpful
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
- CPP certification
- Local candidates preferred

Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.
Pay
- New York, NY: $117,425 – $167,750
- Pennington, NJ: $108,031 – $154,330
Compensation depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
