Responsibilities

  • Manage and review contractor submittals, site visits for inspections, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Keep the engineer informed of project status and alert them to potential problems or liability issues.
  • Observe work through meetings and site visits to ensure progress and quality of workmanship aligns with contract documents.
  • Review contract documents with contractors, clarify and interpret them, and gather information from design engineers as necessary.
  • Issue reports regarding deficiencies in the project, collect data, and review change orders with the design engineer.
  • Prepare project closeout documents and perform final observations, testing, and full commissioning, including writing a commissioning report.
  • Prepare an order form for owner-provided IT equipment and IP address assignments for new security devices.
  • Prepare programming scripts, access code request forms, and other required documentation for expanding existing Owner-managed security equipment.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with design processes and interpretation of architectural and engineering design documents.
  • Experience with security system design and construction for Data Centers.
  • Knowledge of data center design and construction techniques, tools, and principals involved in producing technical plans and drawings.
  • Field experience or skilled trades background is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science) or Associate Degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry.
  • Associate degree, or certificate, in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, 14 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry.

  • Familiarity with design processes and interpretation of architectural and engineering design documents.
  • Knowledge of security system design and construction for Data Centers.
  • Experience with data center design and construction techniques.
  • Interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Pay

$101,000 - $123,000. Individual pay may vary based on location and additional factors.

Schedule

This position requires 20-50% travel with occasional overnight stays.
