FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Employment Status: Partial Year Contract – 177 days
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- No prior experience required
- Attention to detail; good observation, people, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide general supervision and oversight for students and staff at dedicated entry points
- Check for proper identification
- Require visitors to check-in through the district management system, communicate with office staff, and/or redirect visitors to the main office
- Provide routine assistance to staff and security regarding school ID requirements
- Maintain communication with administrative and security staff about all visitors on campus
- Monitor cameras at entry points and assist security
- Maintain a consistent presence at your post between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., unless relieved by another school employee
- Provide general supervision and oversight of the BAHS parking lots
- Assist with the management of the parking lot
- Monitor compliance with district registration requirements for operating a vehicle on campus
- Report/document parking and/or traffic infractions
- Assist with the preparation and departure of school traffic at the end of each school day when requested
- Work in conjunction with Broken Arrow Security Officers on a daily basis
- Provide routine assistance to students, staff, and visitors
- Maintain confidentiality of students and staff
- Implement district emergency action procedures when appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration and/or Security Director
Environmental Conditions
- Position will be performed in both inside and outside conditions
- Noise level will range from quiet to loud
- Work will be performed in areas of heavy concentration of people as well as in areas with few physical obstacles
- Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity
- Exposure to dust and potential allergens
- Required to work around moving vehicles
Physical Standards
- Tools/Equipment Used: security cameras, two-way radio, alarm systems and/or other security equipment, fire extinguisher, and standard office equipment including computer and peripherals
- Posture: prolonged sitting and standing
- Motion: light walking and keyboarding/mouse manipulation
- Lifting: light lifting and carrying (5-15 pounds)
- Mental Demands: maintain emotional control under stress; prolonged hours; ability to react quickly with no advance warning and to assist with emergency situations

Attendance
Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.
