About the role

As a Part-Time Armed Patrol Security Officer in Salisbury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with store personnel and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft-related concerns, and other security-related issues, and report observations through required channels.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
