Security and Risk Analyst Police Department
Job Summary
The Threat and Risk Analyst is responsible for researching and analyzing data from various sources to reduce threats and criminal risks to the institution. Configures and audits police and security technology applications and systems. Produces reports, identifies trends, and develops strategies to increase safety to the institution. Assists with outreach efforts to educate on behavioral patterns and trends. Ensures information management procedures comply with federal, state, and institutional policies.
Requirements
- Five years experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management, security systems, or conflict resolution. With Master's degree, Three years experience in these areas.
- Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) certification from the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NABITA), Certification in Crisis Intervention Negotiation, Certified Threat Manager from the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
- TDL - Texas Drivers License Valid Class C Texas driver's license.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- PREFERRED: Master's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Management, Police Science, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or Public Health.
