Security and Emergency Services Officer 1
About the role
Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services (SES) Officer, responsible for implementing the SES Program under the Supervisor's direction. In this role, you will perform regular property patrols, provide relief staffing at the gatehouse, and respond to non-emergency service calls.
Responsibilities
- Participate in routine interior and exterior patrols of the buildings and grounds
- Conduct safety checks and inspections in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance
- Receive calls for non-emergency service from dispatch and security by radio or telephone and respond timely and appropriately
- Respond and assist in Community Emergencies, including but not limited to; fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, bomb threats, and evacuations
- Create the best initial impression of the community
- Screens all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community
- Document all visitors and vendors/contractors and provides proper parking passes, maps, and instructs visitors to park in appropriate spaces
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Prior experience in security preferred
- Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
- Ability to document daily activities in a clear and concise manner

Pay
$19.00-$21.00 per hour including shift differential and float rates, based on experience
Schedule
Hours vary based on community needs and shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
