Security and Campus Safety Officer

What will you be doing?

You Will Be Part Of An Operational Security Team Providing a Service 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week, That Includes The Following Areas

• Foot and Mobile Security Patrols
• Active engagement with a range of people including students, staff, and visitors
• Monitoring and response to critical and life safety alarms
• Operating a modern 24/7 Security Control Room
• Emergency 'First responder' services to a wide spectrum of incidents
• Car Parking enforcement
• Promote crime reduction and personal safety awareness across the University community
• Liaise with the Emergency services, as required

Requirements

You should apply if

• You Have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Accurate recording of incidents

Qualifications

• An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is desirable for this role; however, we will readily accept non-SIA applications from candidates with transferable skills in areas such as Customer Service or who are interested in pursuing a security career.
• Full training and support will be provided to obtain the necessary licencing for this role.

Essential

• A Full UK Driving Licence

Useful

• SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) licence
• First Aid qualification (with 1 days additional leave on qualification)
• Experience in a similar role

Pay

Salary: £35,973 - £40,100 per annum (£28,778 - £32,080 plus 25% for rotating shifts)
