Securities Analyst
Role Description
The Securities unit is a part of the Treasury Operations group within BCDAD and is responsible for the confirmation, settlement, clearance and reconciliation of securities transactions executed by the bank’s domestic and global offices. Products include certificates of deposit, commercial paper, treasury bills, treasury bonds, tri-party repos and mortgage backed securities and other bank booked bonds, stocks and funds.
Responsibilities
- Confirms that trade information and settlement instructions for certificates of deposit, commercial paper, tri-parties, Tokyo trades and other securities is accurate.
- Prepares and inputs settlement instructions for timely and efficient processing.
- Reconciles outstanding items; ensures trades are settled.
- Generates quarterly position and audit reports for management review.
- Generates monthly reports in compliance with JSOX requirements.
- Researches and resolves ad hoc issues and questions.
Qualifications And Skills
- 2 to 5 years of comparable or relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working in a securities processing role for a bank or financial institution
- Able to work well autonomously and be a complete self-starter
- Functional knowledge of confirmation and settlement process
- Functional knowledge of payments structure through various settlement methods
- Operational knowledge of the applications that support back office operations (i.e., BONY-BDC, Accessedge OBS, MONTRAN, etc.)
- Able to set priorities, manage time effectively, meet deadlines and complete work accurately
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- High level customer service mindset with a commitment to supporting both internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated focus on ownership, follow-up and relationship management
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem resolution skills
- Software Systems / Programming Languages: OBS, Montran, SAA, Fedwire, BONY-BDC, AccessEdge, JPMRepo Edge, Citidirect for Securities, DTCC RTTM and CFM, MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), SharePoint

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $67,000.00 and $80,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.
