Roles & Responsibilities
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems of varying complexity
- Installs and troubleshoots computer hardware and peripherals
- Aids in maintaining hardware labeling and inventory
- Responds promptly to requests for technical support
- Patiently communicates with employees across the company
- Dates, tracks, and monitors work using applicable systems and tools
- Travels to various Janicki locations to provide on-site assistance as needed
- May coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems
- May train, coach, and assist less experienced team members
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Aids in preparing for annual inspections
- Maintains a DoD 8570.01 Certification
- May be required to travel within the continental U.S.
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance
Qualifications
- Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Associate degree required; equivalent combination of education, experience, and industry certifications will be considered
- Strong customer service skills and proficient oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Proficient working with Windows OS, common applications like Microsoft Office, and PC hardware (A+ certification level)
- Basic understanding of computer networking and security
- Must obtain CompTIA’s Security+ certification within 6-months of hire
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours, on-call rotation for responding to IT emergencies

- Able to work well independently and under pressure
