Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems of varying complexity
  • Installs and troubleshoots computer hardware and peripherals
  • Aids in maintaining hardware labeling and inventory
  • Responds promptly to requests for technical support
  • Patiently communicates with employees across the company
  • Dates, tracks, and monitors work using applicable systems and tools
  • Travels to various Janicki locations to provide on-site assistance as needed
  • May coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems
  • May train, coach, and assist less experienced team members
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Aids in preparing for annual inspections
  • Maintains a DoD 8570.01 Certification
  • May be required to travel within the continental U.S.
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance

Qualifications

  • Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Associate degree required; equivalent combination of education, experience, and industry certifications will be considered
  • Strong customer service skills and proficient oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Proficient working with Windows OS, common applications like Microsoft Office, and PC hardware (A+ certification level)
  • Basic understanding of computer networking and security
  • Must obtain CompTIA’s Security+ certification within 6-months of hire
  • Willingness to participate in an after-hours, on-call rotation for responding to IT emergencies
  • Accommodating and flexible while maintaining priorities
  • Able to work well independently and under pressure
