Sector Overview
The Sector Vice President leads revenue growth in a target sector for ERock, ensuring achievement of sales targets. This role sets the strategy for the sector and executes it with cross-functional support, identifying and closing new key target accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching and ongoing support to sector customers to grow the sector
- Setting the strategy for the sector and aligning resources to execute the business plan
- Providing updates to senior management on market trends for the given sector
- Prospecting, qualifying, and closing energy solution sales with key accounts
- Working with customers to identify risks, evaluate current operations, and recommend solutions
- Managing sales and qualification activities for assigned named accounts
- Managing key partner relationships to develop additional origination opportunities
- Developing customer presentations and participating in customer meetings
- Managing the client engagement cycle from prospecting to proposal to closing and contract signature
- Understanding global energy and resiliency needs and customizing solutions
- Keeping Salesforce.com updated and following sales processes for orders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 15+ years of successful strategic sales experience in the Energy & Utilities sector
- Ability to travel monthly to Houston, Texas and weekly for customer meetings or conferences
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Energy/Utilities industries
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and coach a high-performing sales team
- Self-motivated and performance-driven
- Ability to learn and adapt to new products
- Proven successful sales record in Manufacturing/Technology/Energy environments
- Experience managing global customers and key stakeholders
- Strong solution selling skills, especially in large accounts
- MBA preferred
