Sector Sales Leader, Director - Private Equity (New York Metro)
The Opportunity
The Sector Sales Leader is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales and origination efforts within a specific sector. Reporting to the Industries & Accounts Sales leader, this individual will spearhead the development and execution of sales strategies, oversee a team of sector sales executives, and serve as the primary liaison between the sales function and sector leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Sector Sales Team (inclusive of Sales Executives and Account Executives) with overall accountability for team goal attainment
Set sales targets for Sales Team members (in coordination with Americas leadership)
Infuse sales strategy across sector go-to-market teams
Lead strategic sector pursuits, successfully guiding teams through “win” methodology
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor a team of sector sales and account executives, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance excellence
Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed in accordance with Americas Sales directives
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the sales team
Personal Sales
Serve as the primary account Sales Executive or Account Executive for key clients within the sector, nurturing relationships and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty
Develop strategic account plans (in coordination with GCSP if Sales Executive) to expand business opportunities and strengthen partnerships with existing clients
Met/exceed assigned Sales and Origination metrics
Sector Representation
Act as the voice of sales on the sector board, representing the interests and perspectives of the sales function in sector-level decision-making processes
Collaborate closely with sector leadership and other key stakeholders to align sales initiatives with broader sector strategies
Partner with Industry & Accounts Sales Leader, Sector Leader, Sector Market Board, and associated Global Client Service Partners (GCSPs) to drive integrated sales efforts and ensure alignment across functions
Bring valuable insights and recommendations from Alliances, Managed Services and Solutions sales leaders to inform sector-level strategies and initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (master’s degree a plus)
12-15 + years of experience of success in sales leadership roles, with extensive experience in driving sales strategies and achieving revenue targets
Strong understanding of the sector's market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
Proficiency in relevant sales and CRM tools/software
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in this geographic location in the US is $284,625 to $482,640 plus participation in an incentive compensation program applicable to Sales Executives. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
