About the role
The Director of Sales, Private Equity - Fund Admin is responsible for driving growth in Carta's suite of Fund Administration solutions to Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate Funds. This role involves leading, mentoring, and managing a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of training and coaching, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to grow new business in the Private Equity Investors sales motion
- Drive holistic GTM motion where Marketing, Channel, and Sales are all operating as one team, focusing on increasing ARR and market share
- Foster a culture of training and coaching to ramp new reps and build their sales acumen and Carta value knowledge
- Partner with recruiting to build a bench of strong talent for the sales org
- Lead from the front by participating in active deals to help drive towards closed won opportunities
Requirements
- Experience in the private markets landscape, particularly in Private Equity and Private Credit
- Subject matter expertise in Fund Administration
- Experienced in leading a quota-carrying Sales team and exceeding quota
- 10+ years of experience leading Sales or Business Development teams and managing across multiple business lines and sales cycles
- Experience with and existing contacts within the private capital markets community (lawyers, investors, bankers, accountants, etc.) and the General Partner / Limited Partner / Founder communities
- Strong communication skills, including presentation and networking skills, specifically experience meeting with C-level executives and decision makers
- Understanding of the SaaS business model and passion for the alternatives market ecosystem
