Job Summary
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty person at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Section Chief of the Division of Clinical Genetics.
Responsibilities
- Consultation and oversight of genetic counselors and genetic medical care for preconception, pregnant, and adult individuals
- Participation in the care of patients with high-risk pregnancies, covering Labor and Delivery, and performing and interpreting ultrasounds
- Collaboration with Lurie Children’s Hospital in the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health, a joint pediatric surgery-MFM program devoted to fetal therapy
- Involvement in student, resident, and fellow education; serving as a major teaching site for the Northwestern University Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling
Requirements
- Completed medical genetics residency or fellowship
- Board certified in medical genetics
- Joint MFM/Genetics certification (for participation in high-risk pregnancy care)

- Established track record in research or academic pathways
