About the role

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare systems, is seeking a Section Chief of Neuroradiology to join the Department of Radiology at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Imaging Services at Atlantic Health is expanding in partnership with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) Radiology, a 50+ physician subspecialized employed practice supporting six hospitals across the Atlantic Health system.

As the Section Chief of Neuroradiology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of radiology services within our organization. By staying abreast of the latest advancements in neuroradiology, you will contribute to the evolution of our department and ensure the highest standards of care. You will also collaborate with other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders.

About Overlook Medical Center

Overlook Medical Center is a 504-bed tertiary referral center for neurosurgery, nonprofit teaching medical center located in Summit, New Jersey. The imaging department produces over 200,000+ exams in plain, CT, MR, pediatrics, IR, US, NM, PET & Breast imaging. Overlook Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center support a joint ACGME Radiology Residency Program of 20 residents and 2 fellows across both campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Neuroradiology section within the Department of Radiology
  • Shape the future of radiology services and ensure high standards of care
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in neuroradiology
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop and implement treatment plans for neurological disorders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical or related field
  • State license and certification to practice medicine
  • Successful completion of a residency and internship
  • Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of neurological illnesses (preferred)

Schedule

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Primary shift varies.

About The Team

Atlantic Health System's radiology departments provide state-of-the-art imaging services that accommodate a wide range of patient needs with the highest quality and safety. Many of our locations meet Image Gently® recommendations, meaning we "child-size" radiation doses for pediatric patients.

Our medical team features board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists specializing in breast imaging, cross-sectional imaging, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, musculoskeletal imaging, pediatric imaging, and interventional radiology. Highly skilled technologists and registered radiology nurses provide additional expertise and support.

Atlantic Health System has radiology services at Chilton, Hackettstown, Morristown, Newton, and Overlook medical centers, along with Goryeb Children's Hospital and a variety of outpatient locations. Services vary by location.
