Secondary Packaging Procurement Business Analyst
About the role
The Secondary Packaging Procurement Business Analyst will assist the category management team with business analytics. This includes managing spend under control for the category manager, tracking and updating the savings pipeline, ability to gather and communicate market impacts and create business cases.
Responsibilities
- Manage key business metrics using data collection and processing techniques
- Generate important insights from data (opportunities, risks, market trends, etc…)
- Maintain procurement savings pipeline (timing, values, status), summarize and report week over week changes and support any reporting
- Maintain annual spend by supplier reports, including key spend trends, opportunities and other KPIs
- Write business cases based on data provided from the category management teams, build a thorough understanding of the savings rules and what counts
- Become an expert in various ERP, P2O and P2P systems and extract data needed for spend or market analysis
- Become an expert in communicating data through MS Tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI)
- Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of market forces that could or are impacting costs
- Understand elements of cost in assigned categories to support category manager negotiations
- Support the category management team with spontaneous requests for analyzing data to support negotiations
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2 – 5 years in data analytics and project management, preferably in procurement and in a global manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing projects
- Strong data analytics and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in cost modeling, complex data analytics, and market analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, data analytics or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) desireable
- Ability to travel as required
