About the role
To be considered for a teaching position with the Topeka Public Schools, you must possess a current Kansas teaching license and be certified to teach in the area you are applying for at the time of appointment.

Qualifications
- Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in education (or related to the subject taught)
- Meet the Kansas State Department of Education certification requirements for teaching Math
- Good communication, consultation, and team building skills are also important

Performance Responsibilities
- Lesson planning
- Assisting in the selection and approval of instructional materials, supplies and equipment
- Student instruction
- Maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with curriculum revision when appropriate
- Supervising students in common areas of the building
- Communicating effectively with administrators, parents, and staff
- Assisting with school events
- Supporting the mission of Topeka Public Schools
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal
Terms of Employment
- Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education
Evaluation
- Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Topeka Public Schools Board of Education policies for certified personnel
