Location: Tri-county itinerant position based out of Mercyhurst Prep, providing services to other schools in the area.

Department: School Improvement Services - Federal and State Programs

Start Date: 2026-2027 school year

Pay

• Bachelor's: $43.38/hour
• Master's: $45.96/hour
• Master's +15 credits: $45.96/hour

Schedule

• Part-time, 18-29.5 hours per week

About the Role

The Part-Time Math Teacher will plan, provide, and implement skill-based interventions to students in grades 7-12 to help them achieve academic success. This role involves collaborating with professional staff to deliver a quality math program tailored to students needing intervention through small group instruction within established curriculum guidelines. The teacher will also respond to inquiries from parents or guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress.

Requirements

• PDE Certification in Mathematics 7-12
• Driver's license in your state of residence and reliable transportation
• Acceptable PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance, and Federal History Clearance
• Completion of Act 168 forms for current and any previous employer where the applicant worked directly with children
• Negative TB test within 3 months of receipt of the test results by the IU
