Secondary Electrical Qualifier
About the role
Serves as Spruce Power's designated backup Electrical Qualifier in accordance with New Jersey licensing requirements. Maintains all licenses, registrations, certifications, and continuing education required to remain eligible to serve as the company's Electrical Qualifier. Available to assume the role of primary Electrical Qualifier should the designated primary qualifier become unavailable. Maintains a general familiarity with Spruce's New Jersey operations and applicable regulatory requirements to facilitate an orderly transition if activation becomes necessary. Participates in periodic status meetings or compliance reviews, as reasonably requested, to maintain awareness of company operations and regulatory obligations. Executes documents, licensing applications, or regulatory filings necessary to maintain the company's licensing status when requested. Provides technical or regulatory consultation on an as-needed basis, as mutually agreed. Supports the transition of qualifying responsibilities during planned or unplanned changes to the company's designated Electrical Qualifier. Maintains confidentiality of proprietary company information and complies with the terms of the independent contractor agreement.

Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Master Electrician License in good standing, with the ability to serve as the company's designated Electrical Qualifier
- Mets all applicable New Jersey licensing requirements to act as the Electrical Contractor of Record
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical industry experience, with experience serving as an Electrical Qualifier, Master Electrician, or in a comparable leadership or compliance role preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), New Jersey electrical regulations, and applicable local code requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical permitting, inspections, licensing, and regulatory compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies and company leadership
- Ability to review and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and technical documentation
- Ability to provide technical guidance and regulatory support on an as-needed basis
- Willingness to maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education necessary to remain qualified
- Ability to enter into an independent contractor agreement and remain reasonably available to assume qualifying responsibilities if requested
Education
High school diploma or GED required. Active New Jersey Master Electrician License in good standing.
