Secondary Education - Part Time Lecturer Pool

About the role

The Department of Secondary Education at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in the Single-Subject Credential Program and Master’s Program.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Single-Subject Credential Program and Master’s Program
• Implement culturally relevant pedagogies
• Work with students from intersecting historically marginalized social groups
• Support teachers, teacher candidates, and new teachers
• Contribute to ongoing professional development

Requirements

• MA or MS or Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education or related field
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a credentialed teacher of culturally and linguistically diverse adolescents OR 3 years equivalent experience
• Committed to Just, Equitable, and Inclusive education
• Knowledge of CSUF Single Subject Credential Program requirements
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with students from intersecting historically marginalized social groups
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using anti-racist teaching and social justice pedagogies
• Expertise in subject area disciplines and curriculum and instruction
• Knowledge of CA K-12 content standards for subject areas
• Bilingual or Biliterate or experience working with bilingual/biliterate students
• Knowledge of CCTC Teaching Performance Expectations
• Active in subject matter professional organizations
