Seasoned Residential Handyman - Keep Working the Trade

About the role

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is looking for a seasoned residential handyman who would rather pick up a tool than sit behind a desk filling out paperwork all day. You're not being hired to manage a crew. You're not spending your day chasing jobs or writing reports. You're here to work. Every day brings something different. One house might need trim and drywall work. The next might have a door that needs fixing a deck that needs attention or a list of repairs that's been sitting around too long. You use your experience. You solve the problem. You get it done right.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll handle a variety of residential repairs and improvements including:

• Finish carpentry and trim work
• Drywall repair and painting
• Door and window repairs
• Light plumbing
• Light electrical
• Flooring and tile repairs
• Deck fence and exterior repairs
• Small remodeling projects
• General home repairs and punch-list work

No two days are exactly the same. That's part of the fun.

What We're Looking For

You're probably a good fit if you:

• Have 20+ years of hands-on experience in construction handyman work or the skilled trades
• Have strong carpentry and remodeling skills
• Can handle several trades without needing someone standing over you
• Know how to troubleshoot and figure things out
• Take pride in doing clean quality work
• Know how to treat customers with respect
• Show up on time and do what you say you'll do
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have your everyday hand tools

If you've been the person friends neighbors and customers call when something needs fixing you already know what we're looking for.
