HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking Seasonal Traveling Industrial Maintenance Hydroblasters Laborers to join a safety-conscious team working at multiple locations across the US. This role involves hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and general industrial maintenance while representing HPC-Industrial in client interactions. 100% travel is required, and a TWIC card is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety representative, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures, including operations, emergency response, and administrative functions.
• Operate manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment, ultra-high-pressure pumps, and specialized cleaning equipment.
• Energize pumping equipment, vacuum trucks, cutting equipment, and other job-specific tools.
• Inspect cleaned surfaces to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
• For supervisory roles: Interface with customer representatives to confirm job setup and scope, ensure performance meets or exceeds requirements, and implement company policies at the job site. Report to the branch manager and execute procedures to achieve specified results.

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Ability to see, read, and understand signs in the work area.
• Hear and distinguish emergency signals while on duty.
• Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine for complete head and neck movement.
• Extend arms above the head and frequently bend at the waist, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
• Tolerate being wet from head to toe for extended periods.
• Climb ladders and work from scaffolding or stationary platforms up to 200 feet high.
• Work in confined spaces with a minimum 5-foot inside diameter.
• Hold the back thrust of 50 lbs on a straight 66” pipe for a minimum of 1 hour.
• Physically capable of using negative pressure and air-supplied respirators.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment, including Nomex coveralls, back belts, slickers, rubber boots, fresh air breathing masks, escape packs, and hard hats.
• Work under extreme climate conditions, such as high heat (95°F with 98% humidity) and sub-zero temperatures, depending on geographical location.
• Exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids (respirators provided when required).
• Tolerate noise levels exceeding 85 dBA (hearing protection provided and required).
• Lift and maintain a minimum of 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Specific vocational preparation, including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and relevant experience.
• English language proficiency to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
• Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods, up to 5 months if necessary.
• OSHA certification may be required.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
• Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Adherence to all site-specific safety protocols, work hours, and company policies.
