About the role

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Granite City, IL is seeking Hydro Blasters/General Laborers to work at various customer locations. This position requires hands-on operation of Hydroblasting equipment, pipeline hydrostatic testing, and other responsibilities. The role involves representing HPC-Industrial in maintaining positive client relationships and includes occasional night and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining a safe work environment
• Operate manual and automated Hydroblasting equipment
• Operate special equipment such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps
• Energize pumping equipment and specialized Hydroblasting and Chemical cleaning equipment
• Examine surfaces cleaned to meet company and customer standards
• Perform routine and required maintenance on equipment and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Conduct additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on-the-job training
• Valid driver license and company’s driving policy requirements
• OSHA certification may be required
• Knowledgeable in emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers
• Ability to obtain Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid TWIC required or ability to obtain TWIC
• Availability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
• Travel 20% between work sites and to out-of-state projects if needed
