About the role
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking Industrial Services General Laborers to join their safety-conscious team at various customer locations in New Lenox, IL. This position involves setting up and assisting with water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing, and other responsibilities. The role requires a strong safety focus and the ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Act as safety representative, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Operate manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment.
- Operate special equipment such as ultra-high-pressure pumps.
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
- Interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and ensure performance and customer requirements are met.
- Implement procedures to obtain results specified by the branch manager.
Qualifications
- Vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on-the-job training.
- Essential experience gained on other jobs.
- Valid driver’s license and TWIC required for driving company vehicles or using personal vehicles on company business.
- Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
- Available to travel 10% of the time to work at other sites.
Physical Demands
- See, read, distinguish, and understand signs in the work area.
- Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine.
- Bend at waist, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl frequently.
- Tolerate being wet from head to toe for an unlimited amount of time.
- Tolerate and function in confined spaces.
- Work up to variable shifts.
- Use both negative pressure and air supplied respirators.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment, including Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slickers, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask, an escape pack, and a hard hat.
- Work under extreme climate conditions.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and fluids.
- Exposure to noise levels exceeding 85 dBA.
- Lift and maintain a minimum of 40 lbs.

Final compensation may vary based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to the base salary, some roles may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
