SEASONAL - TRAVEL - RN - PACU

Location: HCA HealthONE Swedish, 501 E Hampden Ave, Englewood, CO 80113 (3rd floor)

About the Unit

All PACU staff float between units: Main/Surgical Robotics and Ortho. Total capacity is 59 bays (Pre-Op and PACU combined):

• Main – 27 bays
• Surgical Robotics – 12 bays (closed until the first week of February)
• Orthopedic Surgery Center – 20 bays

Approximately 70 staff members, including RNs and patient care techs. Staffing varies by surgery schedule; night shift typically has 2 RNs. Patient ratios are estimated at 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients potentially up to 3 at a time. Staffing follows ASPAN standards.

Equipment: Client Monitors. EMR: Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Op and recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia
• Manage high volumes of neuro, stroke, interventional radiology, TAVR, and critical care overflow patients
• Support surgeries including spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases

Requirements

Must have:

• Critical Care and/or PACU experience
• PALS/ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications

Preferred or nice to have:

• Stroke care experience
