Seasonal Steward (May to October 2026)

This role will be located at Discovery Land Company’s Hamptons locations: Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, New York and The Hills in East Quogue, New York. Employer of record is DLV Hamptons Management LLC. The position is seasonal, available from May 1, 2026 – October 7th, 2026, with H-2B visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils.
• Provide clean cooking utensils for food and beverage operations and ensure all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and stored correctly in designated areas.
• Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals (e.g., Bleach, Clorox, food safety products), and chemical concentration logs.
• Perform daily setups of china, glassware, and silverware for all outlets.
• Participate as a team player with other key team members and attend department briefings as necessary.
• Complete all opening/closing procedures as instructed.
• Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
• Monitor inventory levels for food, ingredients, cooking materials, dishware, and cleaning supplies through regular inventory checks.
• Maintain all equipment (e.g., dishwashers, stove tops, ovens, mixers, refrigerators, cooking prep areas) and ensure proper handling and cleanliness.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Three (3) months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
• Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors.
• Must stand, walk, and move for periods greater than four (4) hours.
• Must carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Background check will be performed at the employer’s expense.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and stay calm during busy periods.

Benefits

• Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 USD per hour, based on experience.
