SEASONAL SPRAY TRUCK OPERATOR - PT
Duties
Operates a mosquito spray truck four (4) to six (6) hours per evening as needed.
Carries out the County's safety program in pesticide applicator and application equipment safety as required by federal/state laws.
Prepares and maintains accurate records of operations.
- Manually loads/unloads equipment and supplies onto vehicles.
- Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of assigned tools and equipment.
- Affords assistance to co-workers with various duties as required.
Performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and standards of quality and safety.
Attends training as required to maintain or enhance job knowledge and skills.
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Requires at least one (1) year of related work experience.
- Special Qualifications: Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must be able to read maps/GPS and locate specific areas within the County. Must be able to work non-standard shift hours; normal working hours begins at 9 PM; generally, this position will be 15-25 hours per week during mosquito season (April – November). Must be able to work with pesticides.
