Seasonal Server Assistant (On-Call)

About the role

Assist food servers with the serving of food, set-up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service as well as attend to guest needs and requests. Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is connected by Skyway to sports, business and entertainment and is two blocks from the Mississippi River. The hotel features Mediterranean-inspired dining by award-winning local chef Gavin Kaysen, a wellness floor with indoor and outdoor pools, and a spa dedicated to nourishment through nature. The new 37-storey building sits at the convergence of business and leisure at the top of Nicollet Mall, with 19,400 sq. ft. of meeting space, downtown’s only luxury spa, and a 5,000 sq. ft. pool deck.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen, china, silver and glassware for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition.
• Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
• Preparation of condiment and garnish items.
• Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
• Breakdown, clean, and set-up tables, buffets, and food stations.
• Assist Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, and Managers with all responsibilities pertaining to the Nordic Village restaurant, bar, cabins, or terrace area when needed.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements

• Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum one year food service or related work.
• Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry and balance a tray. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay

Wage: $18.37 per hour + tips
