Seasonal Server Assistant

About the role

The Server Assistant position at Highgate Hotels Highgate involves ensuring food is served promptly and fresh, bussing tables, and assisting the bar with duties such as glass rotation and ice bin refills. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, teamwork, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of dining area and serving stations
• Bussing dining room tables
• Responding to guests' requests and informing management of any complaints
• Ensuring the timely delivery of food items
• Ensuring the server station is adequately stocked with necessary supplies
• Must be self-motivated and willing to assist wherever needed

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, ability to multi task.
• Possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required
• Food Handlers Card Required
• May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods, throughout the day
• Requires infrequent lifting and carrying of 1-25 pounds
