Seasonal Sales Assistant

Overview

Our local store is seeking a Sales Assistant to work 8 hours per week in a seasonal role lasting until 13 February 2027. As the first point of contact, you will help create joyful customer experiences from the initial greeting to the final thank‑you, ensuring shoppers leave with exactly what they need and a lasting impression that brings them back.

Pay

16‑17 years: £8.72 per hour.
18 + years: £13.39 per hour.

Schedule

Seasonal position until 13 February 2027, 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience at the tills, carefully packing fragile items.
• Assist shoppers on the shop floor, helping them find items and offering knowledgeable, enthusiastic support.
• Use iPad systems to place orders for home delivery when items are out of stock, and deliver Made‑to‑Measure curtain and blind services.
• Style key areas such as bedding displays, inspiring customers to feel the fabrics and select perfect pieces.
• Handle stock and delivery duties, including heavy lifting, receiving deliveries, checking stock, replenishing the shop floor, updating pricing, and maintaining attractive displays.
• Maintain a clean, well‑presented store environment and recover the shop after busy periods.
