About the role

As a Receiving Colleague, also known as a Back of House colleague, you will play an essential role in supporting store operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. You’ll handle receiving and organizing merchandise, picking, packing, and retrieving orders from back-of-house storage, delivering them curbside, and monitoring alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) orders. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to operational excellence will directly impact customer satisfaction and store performance.

This role goes beyond behind-the-scenes support—every day, you’ll interact with customers, greet shoppers warmly, resolve issues, and deliver orders with care. Responsibilities

  • Receive, tag, and organize merchandise in the stockroom.
  • Pick, pack, and retrieve orders for Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) and curbside delivery.
  • Monitor alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of BOPS orders.
  • Greet customers warmly and resolve issues during interactions on the floor or at curbside.
  • Maintain a shoppable sales floor by recovering merchandise, restocking, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support daily operations and achieve sales goals.
  • Organize the stockroom and complete orders at the end of the day to set up the team for success.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
  • Comfort with collaborating with customers and colleagues to meet daily sales goals.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • Lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing register transactions.

Schedule

  • Full-time colleagues typically work 30 or more hours per week.
  • Part-time colleagues typically work 12–24 hours per week.
  • All schedules include weekend shifts as a requirement.
