Seasonal Retail Merchandising Support Associate, St Charles Town Center

About the Role

As a Merchandising Colleague—also known as a Front of House Colleague—you’ll play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in-store experience. You will execute merchandise movement and placement strategies, enhance the visual appeal of the sales floor, maintain well-organized and shoppable displays, and ensure pricing and promotional signage is accurate and up-to-date. Your attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence will directly impact our customers’ experience. You’ll be a visible and welcoming presence on the floor, greeting customers with genuine hospitality and offering assistance to ensure they feel seen, supported, and valued.

Collaboration is key to this role. You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments to meet shared goals, support sales, and contribute to a culture of hospitality, positivity, and making every customer feel welcome by greeting them with a smile and offering help whenever needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandise movement and placement strategies to enhance visual appeal and shopability of the sales floor.
• Update mannequins, reset floor layouts, and align presentation with company directives.
• Greet customers warmly, make eye contact, and engage in friendly, personal conversations to understand and meet their needs.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, replenishing merchandise, and supporting merchandise moves.
• Offer Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you.
• Collaborate with the team to reorganize the department, restock merchandise, and prepare the space for the next day.
• Support sales goals by creating customer connections, participating in sales-boosting events, and opening credit accounts.
• Provide expert guidance to customers based on product knowledge, features, and choices.
• Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
• Work seamlessly with colleagues across departments to drive sales and elevate the customer experience.
• Meet daily sales goal challenges.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
• Create a welcoming, friendly environment for customers and colleagues, fostering meaningful conversations and connections.
• Learn about store products and provide expert guidance to customers.
• Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching, including above eye level.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.

Schedule

Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules include weekend shifts. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
