About the role

The Restaurant Dishwasher focuses on maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness to ensure guests receive food and beverage service meeting Neiman Marcus’s high standards.

Responsibilities

• Primarily focuses on keeping the dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to the highest Health and Kitchen standards
• Maintains dish machine by: checking for chemicals to ensure they are filled and ready; understanding how to use the dish machine; reporting any malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef; keeping chemical testers on hand
• Knows how to use all sanitizing materials used for cleaning
• Checks trash periodically and removes if full
• Organizes dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver
• Maintains a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware
• Exercises caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware)
• Keeps floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash
• Assists with preparation and additional cleaning throughout kitchen as needed
• Maintains a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff
• Upholds all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party Sanitation auditors

Schedule

Associates must be available based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is between $16–$18 per hour (Neiman Marcus/Saks Global posting). A separate Exemplar Luxury Group posting lists a salary range of $17.05–$21.32 per hour, noting that compensation varies by geographic location and the listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
