Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all daily operations of the waterpark
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests
  • Managing, training, and supervising waterpark staff
  • Developing and implementing safety protocols
  • Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Monitoring and enforcing water safety and guest conduct rules
  • Coordinating maintenance and repairs of waterpark equipment, facilities, and landscaping
  • Preparing and managing budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource allocation
  • Handling guest complaints and feedback
  • Overseeing special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate records related to attendance, incidents, maintenance, and finances
  • Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring emergency response plans are current and staff are trained on their roles during incidents
  • Staying updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices in waterpark operations

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3--5 years of experience in waterpark, amusement park, or recreational facility management
  • Proven experience in staff supervision, safety compliance, and operations management
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training preferred
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management
  • Strong background in customer service and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to waterparks

Skills And Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of waterpark operations, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest relations and staff supervision
  • Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures effectively
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
  • Staff training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Skilled in maintenance and repair of waterpark equipment and facilities
  • Ability to analyze operational data and implement improvements
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and basic computer applications

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
