Seasonal Processing Laborer

Responsibilities

• Identify priority areas and ensure dust accumulation does not exceed 1/8".
• Clean all areas of assigned location as directed.
• Safely operate all Rolling Stock as required.
• Assist in other tasks such as painting.
• Assist in the processing plant as directed by management.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: None required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Ability to perform all duties while maintaining security.
• Ability to perform all duties and tasks safely without posing harm to oneself or others.
• Ability to complete documentation requirements.
• Ability to follow directions and use logical thought process to interpret oral and written instructions, and troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to use tools appropriate for assigned task.

Physical Demands & Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting that includes up to 30 lbs. daily, 90 lbs. occasionally, and ask for assistance on anything over 90 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders or stairs repeatedly to significant elevation.
• Ability to work at elevated heights (100+ feet).
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around deep water.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly/continuously.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch and squat frequently.
• Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person and over two-way radio.
• Ability to understand and communicate written instructions.
• Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work the entire normally scheduled shift (including rotating shifts) and overtime when necessary.
• Ability to work in an environment with high dust levels.
• Ability to meet requirements of PFT and fit testing, when applicable.
• Ability to meet requirement of and utilize all applicable PPE, when applicable.
• Ability to work the entire normally scheduled shift (including rotating shifts) and overtime when necessary.
• Uses peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks being performed.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this role is: $17.22 - $21.85 Actual pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including work location, job-related knowledge, skills and relevant experience for the job.

Schedule

The work environment described here are meant to be representative of those an employee would normally encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment.
